Together we are "Neighbors helping Neighbors," building a stronger community

Providing Basic Needs with Dignity and Compassion
Together, you can help us to create a more compassionate community. No one deserves to face the challenge of "Heat or Eat" in our Wyoming climate. Even our beautiful summers get cold. Each year, with your support, we provide hundreds of thousands of pounds of food, ensure our community members have shelter, running water, and stay warm all so they can work on the next challenge and barrier they face in the struggle of poverty. And we depend on your help to make this work possible for individuals like Tonya.
As a client, Tonya came to us as a recent parolee from drug court. She was determined to make right her choices and provide a better life for her two children. Working closely with our case manager, we identified multiple small steps and goals for her to work on each month, including finding a new home, following the courts instructions and requirements, and obtaining employment. Our case manager was able to make referrals to additional resources and help with applications for things like SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, and programs offered by our numerous partners like CLIMB Wyoming.
Over the next three months, Tonya visited regularly working with our case manager and visiting our food pantry. She found employment and began working restore custody of her children. Later on, her family was reunited, she had retained and even been promoted in her job, and was accepted in the CLIMB program to work on the next steps of self-sufficiency.
Tonya's case in one of many community members who need a hand up and place to start anew. Through the communities donations, we were able to provide that place, a skilled case manager, assistance in finding a home, and food to ease the families budget. Your donations enable us to build capacity for federal grants which bring more assistance to community and they help ensure we can remain committed to our work for next individual and the one after that.
